ProCare Global Ltd is a registered non for profit in Illinois, US. We are all volunteers networking with different people and groups to share our vision for communities going through tough time in Nigeria.
Presently we are raising awareness on the situation of displaced children following Islamic extremism that caused separation from their families. ProCare in Nigeria goes by ProCare Global Initiative and is registered since 2017. Through partnership with some people in the US, we were able to build an orphanage to contain 32 displaced children (currently with just 12 kids due to financial situations).
We welcome you to participate by sharing about us with your friends and families. You can get our occasional updates if you like. Use our contact form for that. Feel free to also financially donate using the information on this website.
Our status in the US is 5013(c) and we are tax exempt. We would like to hear from you!
Our Mission Statement: To provide sustainable future for displaced children and youths in Nigeria.
1. Change the stories of traumatized children into positive outcomes
2. Provide stable housing, food, health and education
3. Facilitate ongoing counseling for traumatized children
4. Network with local communities in the US to mobilize resources such as visiting speakers, guests and counsellors for the children
1. Challenge children to develop passion to develop their local communities later as adults
2. Provide children with opportunities to develop healthy view of themselves and their communities
3. Provide quality education that will become foundation to leadership roles
Our approach to charity is sustainable and for a long term. ProCare is dedicated to hosting the children in an orphanage built for the purpose of parenting them until they are 18 years old, where they could decide to either continue to tertiary education or start their independent lives.
If they choose to continue into tertiary education or pursue skill school, ProCare will provide them the resources to do so, in the city of Jos in Nigeria. They will no longer be in the orphanage once they are 18 years old, but a gradual transition is available in the form of housing and tuition.
The setting of the orphanage factors a home-like environment, surrounding by hectares of land for them to run around, play and enjoy being children.
Away from city noise, they can also benefit more in their counseling and education. The orphanage is designed to provide a family atmosphere rather than hostel.
A 2,000 liter water tank provides filtered water for drinking and cooking, while the newly built 3,000 liter is for other uses. Power supply consist of the national grid and solar system. There is also a kitchen with staff that prepare all meals with nutrition at the center.
Finally, a security room located behind the orphanage is equipped with CCTV system to monitor and respond at the right time and action, where a security personnel is employed to do so.
